I have a student working with this:

We’re getting values of 666 (!) to 686, using 3V. That seems really limited, in terms of range. Does that seem right?

What input circuitry are you using? You’ll need to use RC timing for
digital input, an opamp or (easiest) a voltage divider with a correctly
chosen resistor on the analog input …

To clarify, if you are using a voltage divider into the analog input, have you chosen a resistor that is approximately halfway between the minimum and maximum resistance of the bend sensor? For hookup instructions, see

Or if you want to be even more careful about calculating your resistance you can also use the good old Axel-Benz formula: R1 = sqrt(Rmin*Rmax)
