Digital security and privacy


Have been reading the tactics section of Security in a Box over a couple weeks. It’s a guide to digital security designed for activists and human rights defenders, so it goes further than is reasonable for probably most, but I learned so much about digital behavior that I ended up adjusting all kinds of things. I can warmly recommend it to anyone to enhance their privacy awareness.

PS. Many of the tools they discuss are for Windows/Android, but Apple alternatives are usually out there.


@twobeers83 Thanks for posting, I hadn’t seen Security in a Box. Have you seen the new MIT Press book Obfuscation? I’ve just glanced over it but it seems really fantastic and maybe right up your ally if you got something out of that tactics section.
